Frequently asked questions
Will the text still be selectable?⌄
No. Compression rasterises each page (text becomes part of the image), which is why it shrinks scanned PDFs so well but isn't ideal for text-only documents.
Why didn't my PDF get smaller?⌄
Text-only PDFs are already compact. This tool gives the biggest savings on scans and photo-heavy PDFs.
